Information

Water damages can come from various different sources. From natural disasters to a simple pipe leak, each can create its own set of difficulties to the inside structures and contents of a home or business. The inside structure of a home or business can be adversely affected by the amount of water that enters the areas, and can either damage one floor to various floors. Therefore trapping water in ceilings, floors, walls or insulation. This can cause various problems such as swelling of hardwood floors, sub flooring and secondary damages with mold. Contents can present their own unique problems such as wet furniture, sofas and damaged clothing.

Secondary moisture problems can cause indirect damage to paintings, pictures, heirlooms, and important paper work and documents.

There are various categories of water damage. From clean water, to grey water, to black water. Just like opinions, every contractor has their own interpretations of guidelines. But EPA guidelines say that the categories: Clean water is a Category 1, grey water is a Category 2, and black water is a Category 3. These categories were in Josipovich, Daniel E.. • Category 1,obviously, once clean water source contacts other surfaces and materials, its condition changes as it dissolves or mixes with soil and other contaminants as time elapses. Examples of clean water sources may include, but is not limited to: broken pipes, tub or sink overflows, many appliance malfunctions, falling rainwater, (but not that which flows over the ground or through multiple structural components) broken toilet tanks and even toilet bowls in some cases.
• Category 2 often referred to as “gray” water. Unsanitary or grey water contains some degree of contamination. It would cause substantial discomfort or sickness if consumed by a humans and it carries microorganisms or nutrients for microorganisms. Category 2 gray water examples may included, but are not limited to: over flows from dishwashers, washing machines or toilet bowels with some urine (no feces), broken aquariums, and punctured water beds. All of these carry chemicals or biopollutents (fungal, Bacterial, viral, algae) or other forms of contamination. Gray water contamination is significantly aggravated by time and temperature. Gray water in flooded structures that remains untreated for days or weeks can change from gray category 2 to “black” category 3 water. 
• Category 3 often referred to as “black” water. Category 3 black water always contains pathogenic agents. Grossly unsanitary, or black water sources  are those that arise from large quantities of sewage entering a structure. Sewage contains the expected urine and feces; but it also could contain dangerous chemicals or medical wastes. This category includes all forms of sea water, ground surface water rising from rivers or streams. They carry silt and organic matter into structures and create category 3 black water situations.

We provide 24hr. 7 day emergency response to water damages. We have been in business since 1987 and have qualified experienced staff. We have de-flooding equipment for those times that require heavy water extraction. We have the facilities to handle the larger jobs where we can bring in items that have been damaged or affected to clean and dry.

Documents: We can process and dry documents at our facilities.

Clothing: We provide our own in house facility for cleaning clothing that was damaged during the loss.

Information 

Mold is everywhere and it has been there from the start. Every day we live, breath, and interact with mold, whether were outside or inside its everywhere. The rules to mold are simple, when there are more mold spores inside your home or business then there is outside, its a real problem. Because people have gotten used to air conditioning, and heating systems in the home it creates a pleasant environment for us to live but also for mold to grow, in these instances we have a condition called condensation that improves their rate of survival.

Typically mold takes between 48 and 72 hours to grow with the right conditions. After the mold growth period, it can lay dormant if its missing one of its elements.

There are also several elements and conditions that are the key to making sure mold grows. In order to grow , mold need at least 3 elements: oxygen, food source, and moisture. 1. Oxygen is everywhere and makes up about 20% of the air we breathe.
2. Food source for mold spore is any organic material it lands on and absorbs (wood, paper, cloth, paint, or dust particles).
3. Moisture is the third and most critical element. It can come from natural flooding, leaking air conditioner, broken pipes, leaking windows, poorly vented bathrooms, and damp basements and crawlspaces.

In our world full of mold there are some that help us and others that harm us. For example penicillin = good medicine making mold. There are also very bad molds like Basidiospores and Stachybotry’s that cause allergies and serious health problems as well. Mold can get progressively bad when the elements and conditions are just right, but mold can be dramatically accelerated with the right kind of moisture, and now were talking about the different categories of water entering your home or business. (these categories can be found in the water damage section above)

One of the most important things a customer should know is that. “Dead mold may still cause allergic reactions in some people, so it is not enough to simply kill the mold, it must also be removed.”

Documents: We can process and dry documents at our facilities. Documents can be saved and preserved but the mold stains can not be successful removed without damaging the paperwork.

Clothing and eating utensils per EPA recommendations must be disposed of.

Information 

A fire is a very traumatic experience that can have consequential effects both physically, mentally and which also changes peoples lives due to the nature of the ordeal. Smoke and soot can have devastating effects on a persons health and the structure of the home or business and all the contents within.

Fire can be very severe in doing extreme damages to everything within the home or building. Sometimes a fire is not  as severe and only does limited damage, but with the sprinkler systems, or Fire Departments hoses and personnel they can do much more damage than the actual fire.

What We Do

We provide 24hr. 7 day emergency response to Fire/ Smoke damages. We have been in business since 1987 and have qualified experienced staff. We have the facilities to handle the larger jobs where we can bring in items that have been damaged by Smoke or Soot and have them cleaned.

Documents: We can process and restore documents at our facilities.

Clothing: At the time of the response we do sorting, an inspection of the clothing where we separate into the salvageable and non salvageable items list that will be cleaned once they are at the shop. Their given an initial thorough cleaning and then re-inspected, if the smoke does not come out they’re further separated into the non salvageable group. The cleaned clothing are then passed through the ozone room for further smoke removal in our ozone deodorizing room and the clothing is then folded and boxed for delivery or storage.

Information 

Carpet: Carpet cleaning whether residential or commercial can be accomplished by various methods. Steam cleaning, dry powder, shampoo, bonnet cleaning and chemical treated saw dust. Each method has there own benefits and drawbacks but most importantly the good or bad results with any one method falls squarely on the individual technician and not the method of cleaning.

Our technicians are all individually trained by our IICRC master cleaning technician. Our main cleaning method that we have chosen is truck mount steam cleaning, but we also employ other methods depending on the needs of the customer.

Rugs: Rugs have been used for centuries by people the world over. They are made from many natural and synthetic fabrics. Most rugs are made to be placed on the floor and some rugs are so exotic that they are hung on walls.

Most quality rugs are made out of wool, silk, and some are made out of cotton, hemp, synthetic fabrics and many other natural materials. Styles and construction of rugs vary widely from country to country.

Most of the rugs we clean are cleaned at our plant so that we can properly inspect them for any defects or color fastness. Synthetic rugs can generally be cleaned on site.

Upholstery: Upholstery like carpet and rugs they come in many kinds or fabrics. Fabrics are very thin in comparison to carpets or rugs this makes cleaning upholstery sometimes much harder as soil builds up into the underlying cushion. Therefore, when we clean the upholstery the soil tends to come out with the natural drying process. So we must assure ourselves that we clean it properly, this makes it much more time consuming to clean.

Ceramic Tile Sales: We sell Dal-tile ceramic and porcelain floor and wall tiles. We sell other specialty stone products available upon request. The look and design of the tile installation can be from a simple outlay to a higher end look.

Sheet Vinyl Sales: Sheet vinyl has various qualities and styles. Grades of sheet vinyl are based on the thickness and durability. We have various residential and commercial styles to meet the needs and taste of the individual costumer. We carry a wide variety of styles from Congoleum and Tarkett.
